Ha Jin is the pen name of Xuefei Jin, a writer of novels, poetry, and short stories. He has won the National Book Award, the Flannery O’Connor Award, the PEN/Hemingway Award, the PEN/Faulkner Award, and many others. His 2004 Novel War Trash was a Pulitzer Prize finalist.

In Volume 17.2, the Indiana Review published his short story “Winds and Clouds Over a Funeral.”
