Jim Elledge is the author of four collections of poetry. Into the Arms of the Universe won the 1994 Stonewall Series competition. His poetry and fiction have appeared in numerous journals. His most recent book, To Go Forth in the Midst of Wolves, was published in 2004.

In all of the three issues between Volume 21.1 and Volume 22.1, the Indiana Review published sections of Mr. Elledge’s novel-poem A History of My Tattoo. The first issue featured the pieces “The Book of Toos” and “A Letter to No One Who Is Named…” The next featured “Three Days in History.” The third and final issue featured the piece “Confession of a Drag Queen” as well as an interview with Mr. Elledge, titled “To Dress Up Poetry in Autobiographical Drag.”
