Michael McGriff is the author of two poetry collections, Home Burial and Dismantling the Hills. His other books include a translation of Tomas Tranströmer’s The Sorrow Gondola and an edition of David Wevill’s essential writings, To Build My Shadow a Fire. He is a former Lannan Literary Fellow, and has taught creative writing at Stanford University, Wichita State University, and the University of Texas at Austin. He lives in Portland, Oregon, where he edits and publishes Tavern Books. He works with film critic J.M. Tyree on various collaborative and unconventional prose projects.
