Winner of the 2010 Markham Prize in Poetry, Scott Marengo has worked in nightclubs, vineyards and factories. His writings have appeared in numerous publications including Boston Review, Reed Magazine, and Confrontation.

    The “Pastor’s Brother” was a picture of life that is unsettling and real. I enjoyed it and feel that is much like the characters in Emily Brady’s new book “Humboldt.” Thanks for a great piece.

    Liked the story quite a bit… it made me sad on a few different levels, but also made me think about ‘why’ it did on those levels.
    The “Author Commentary” is really fascinating, to get an idea of how these stories are ‘born’ and how they develop within the writer’s mind. Great stuff! Thanks…
